The base of the blender has suction cups on all four corners which are actually quite effective at keeping the appliance stable and secure.

The portable bottle is quite very well made and the plastic is very thick which I didn't expect especially compared to other bottle style blenders. Theres thick rubber gaskets around the lid and the spout opening to protect from leaking when in operation. The jug has a quick release button on the lid and it feels very well constructed. Part noticeably 'click' together firmly and feel like a nice snug fit. The portable bottle is also very narrow in design to fit most hand sizes. The Ninja name is also very fitting for the jug blades almost look like multiple little samurai swords lol.Īll buttons are easy to press and the handle is comfortable to hold even when the jug is full. The black and brushed silver design is very stylish and can fit into most kitchen themes. I then decided to purchase a more recognised brand and stumbled across the Nutri-Ninja which has impressive reviews. I want to begin by pointing out, I purchased the Homgeek 2000w blender which was extremely powerful but developed a fault early on. This is actually preferable until I feel like splashing out on a Vitamix or similar proper, top of the range blender. I decided to go without and stick with my £20 Breville blender (the one almost everyone has bought from Amazon). If like me you wanted a blender to do everything - from smoothie bowls, nut butters and beyond - this may not work for you, as it didn't with me. There is no large opening or tamper to push stuff down, like with a Vitamix.
The whole lid must be taken off in order to scrape the sides down to try and remedy the above issues, which is inconvenient and impractical.
The blades reach nowhere near the corners of the jug, so stuff gets stuck there if there isn't enough liquid to make it flow down.ģ. This means there is nothing for food to slowly fall down onto, get blended and make what was above it fall, until everything is smooth.Ģ. There is no blade at the bottom, it is a tower of blades with the first blade starting above the bottom of the jug. It is useless at blending unless there is a lot of water, for the following reasons:ġ. This is the main issue, as the others can be lived with. Even though I checked the dimensions it took up more space than I thought.
Yes all blenders are noisy however this one even more so, it's like a mini plane taking off in your kitchen. I won't cover the positives as almost all of the reviews here are already positive and I wanted to balance it out with my take: I'm sure for most people this blender will be great for their needs, however below are the issues I had that made me return it.
